Network Services ＞ VPN

The connections to the international network provided by the TANET is frequently congested, although the Ministry of Education has been expanding the bandwidth of the network, but the users of TANET are so much that the problem still exists. To solve the problem, we have been sharing the international connection bandwidth with NCTU through the University System of Taiwan since January, 1993.

At the moment, the back-side of the proxy uses this bandwidth to connect to the “outside”. User needs only to configure the proxy to use this bandwidth indirectly. If users wish to access to bandwidth directly, they must configure the settings of VPN. The VPN service is available for all the faculty of the university (but needs authentication of cc.ncu.edu.tw password).
