• Introduction
  • The international bandwidth provided by TANet is often congested. Although ministry of education tried to amplify the bandwidth, it’s still not enough to deal with the demand of users. In order to solve this problem, since January 2003, NCU and NCTU started to share international network bandwidth via UST network. Proxy servers had already been connecting international network using the bandwidth mentioned above, users only need to set up proxy to use this bandwidth indirectly, but if users want to use the bandwidth directly, then they have to set up VPN besides proxy. Currently, VPN service is already available for staff and students (but need to authenticate cc.ncu.edu.tw password first).

  • Using EZproxy to acquire NCU library's digital resources
    1. Instruction of acquiring NCU library's digital resources outside of campus

      NCU staffs can use Ezproxy, a substitute method provided by NCU library to view e-book, e-journal outside of campus. You’ll need your Portal account and password to be authenticated.     2. When do I use EZproxy?

      EZProxy doesn't require any specific hardware or browser, neither does it need to install anything on your PC. If you just want to use resources of NCU library, we would recommend you to use EZproxy.
