The operating system for the virtual host will be provided by the Computer Center (hereafter referred to as "the Center") from existing systems and does not include customized installations.
- Service is available 24/7, except for system or network maintenance and emergency incidents. The Center is not responsible for any losses incurred due to equipment malfunctions affecting the operation of the virtual host.
- Management personnel for each virtual host must maintain the provided content, ensuring compliance with the university's "Campus Network Usage Regulations" and cooperate with the Center’s ISMS (ISO 27001) related audits.

Virtual Path Service
Virtual Path Service Description
For users of second-generation cloud virtual machines or Container Web Hosting systems, the Computer Center (hereafter referred to as "the Center") now offers an application service for the ncu.edu.tw virtual path. Benefits of using the ncu.edu.tw virtual path include:
- The URL displays the official National Central University website, indicating the webpage's importance to the university.
- Automatically provides a legitimate HTTPS certificate.
- Users can set up their own websites using their VM, with the freedom to use various software and languages, as well as their database systems.
Details of the Virtual Path Service
- he URL format is https://ncu.edu.tw/XXX, where XXX is chosen by the unit.
- Unlike previous services (e.g., http://www.ncu.edu.tw/~ncuXXX or http://in.ncu.edu.tw/ncuXXX), this service does not provide storage for web pages but offers redirect services; thus, units must maintain their websites independently.
- To maintain website efficiency and security, this service currently only provides for virtual hosts using the Center's second-generation cloud service. Units are encouraged to apply for the Center's second-generation cloud virtual machine service。
Notes on the Virtual Path Service
- Projects must be under the same path.Example: Original URL: http://10.115.X.X/cloudservice/; after using the virtual path service: https://ncu.edu.tw/cloudservice/
- If the web server is Apache, it must be version 2.4 or higher.
