In response to the pandemic in 2020, the Computing Center and Cisco provided our school with cloud meeting services. These services allow for remote communication, work, or study.
Eligibility
- Teachers: One account per teacher.
- Administrative Units: One account per unit (administrative, departments, centers).
- Teaching Assistants (Students): Up to two accounts per course, valid until the end of the semester plus 7 days.
Application Process
- Teachers: Provide name, department, contact number (no mobile), and official email issued by the Computing Center (one account per teacher).
- Administrative Units: Provide unit name, account custodian, contact number (no mobile), and official email issued by the Computing Center (initially one account per primary and secondary unit, subject to adjustment).
- Teaching Assistants (Students): Provide name, department, course name, teacher’s name, and official email issued by the Computing Center (up to two accounts per course, valid until the end of the semester plus 7 days. All data, such as recordings or login information, will be deleted after the account expires. Please back up your data. Reapply for a new account each semester).
- Official emails issued by the Computing Center include @cc.ncu.edu.tw, @ncu.edu.tw, or @g.ncu.edu.tw. Do not use an email that has already applied for a Webex official account.
- Joining Meetings:Participants do not need to apply for an account. Choose the option to join as a guest, enter the meeting number and password provided by the meeting organizer, and fill in your personal information to join the meeting. If participants are prompted to log in, please contact the meeting organizer to adjust the meeting settings.

- “Cloud Meeting Service Account Application” and the above application information should be sent via email to Mr. Chiu at the Computing Center - Network Systems Group (center38@cc.ncu.edu.tw).
Note:The email provided during application will be the account for the meeting host. After receiving the application email, we will review and approve it within 1-3 business days and create the account. The system will send an activation email to the provided email address.
Cloud Meeting Service
Hosts can provide personal meeting rooms or video learning courses based on unit or individual needs.
Usage
- Use WebEx Meetings desktop application or browser extension.
- Hosts can schedule meetings or courses and send the meeting number or URL to participants.
- Set an alternate host to take over your role if needed.
- Conduct meetings or courses online with clear video and audio.
- Share your screen, present information, annotate documents or whiteboards, and record meetings or courses.
- Only one meeting room can be opened by a host at a time.
- Meeting or course duration: 24 hours/day.
- Maximum participants per meeting room: 1000.

Equipment Requirements
- Stable internet connection, webcam, headset with microphone, computer or laptop, mobile phone (tablet) with the app installed.
- Web version (log in using the service URL above).
- Webex application (download the desktop application from the NCU-Webex page).
